The Transom Trolling Motor Lock is the only lock that fits most current models of Minn Kota®, Shakespeare, Newport Vessel, Trophy Strike & Water Snake transom mount trolling motors. It features a one-piece jaw-like design that encloses the clamp screws of the motor, making them inaccessible. The lock eliminates the hassle of removing and reinstalling the motor and is inexpensive protection. It is lightweight and installs in seconds. Features rattle-proof lining, reversible keys for easy insertion, and a fail-safe locking system that won’t allow the key to be removed unless in the locked position.

Modification for Honda 2.3 OB

I ordered the transom lock hoping it fit my Honda 2.3 4-stroke outboard. While out of the box, the opening spacing was close, but not accurate, I spent 20 minutes modifying the bracket to clamshell my OB transom screws, and successfully ended up with tight and secure lock. The quality of the transom lock out of the box is very good, I have every confidence that it is as good as anything available, and compact size best for any smaller application.

Great fit for trolling motors

I bought a standard lock, and it would not fit over the butterfly knobs of my trolling motor. This thing fits great on my Minnkota Dura max.

It should work!

The lock fits my Minn Kota Endura Max 55 perfectly! I tightened the motor clamps well enough so this added lockout should deter an otherwise very easy theft of my trolling motor if left unattended in a parking lot. So I am happy with this rather inexpensive purchase!
