Since Garmin’s introduction of the Force® Kraken trolling motor, it has been wildly successful among serious anglers. The demand for us to invent a lock to fit this bracket for Kraken has prompted us to do just that. I am writing this review with short usage. I will leave another in a few months to let you know if it holding strong. As of right now I love that my Garmin is secure and I don’t have to worry about it getting stolen easily
Appears to be well made. Time will tell how it holds up to the marine environment. I'd like to see a hole added to the shaft so it can be used with a pin or shackle as well as the lock.
East to install seams to be just what I needed
This is the best lock I have found for the Garmin Kraken. I’m not sure why there aren’t a lot of options for $4k trolling motor security, but this beats all the others I have tried by a long shot. The price is half of what the competition charges. The competitors lock us essentially a “keyed lug” that can easily be unscrewed with needle nose pliers. DuraSafe is much better. It’s a solid lock with an actual key! It has a slim unobtrusive profile yet is extremely durable. This thing is well thought out and well machined.
