I've been wanting this since I bought my new Terrova last Spring. When travelling I was concerned with keeping my boat out overnight at hotels, etc.
This will allow me to leave the motor mounted to the boat, but still allow for a quick release when out with family - all with no worries of anything getting stolen.
One quick note - When you originally remove the screw holding the pin on the mount you will have to remove the side cover on the trolling motor to access the lock nut. No bi deal at all - two medium sized phillips screws.
I wanted something that made me feel more comfortable while staying at a hotel. This was the perfect solution! It cannot be cut off like a standard lock. This lock is made of good quality material.
Does the trick. Thought it would be a tighter fit though.

Lock was easy to install. Great peace of mind that while my boat is stored outdoors temporally at a marina in Fort Walton Beach. Stealing of a quick mount trolling motor would be quick and easy. This lock would require major effort to steal the motor. Very pleased.
